Miss Bane’s Class

“I have learned so much from my students. They have such wonderful insight into the world and have a way of always making me smile. Children are very receptive and eager to learn new things. They love sharing what they know and their enthusiasm for life is contagious!”

Off & Running!

The 07-08 school year is underway and we are working hard. We have been welcoming special visitors into our classroom to talk to us about their jobs in the community.  Our writing for both Miss Bane & Ms. Sherrill’s classes has been focused on what good writers do…think, picture it in your mind, put it on paper…add labels…write using spacing between words…when writing tricky words, say it, stretch it, write it, and reread.  In math, we have been learning about addition and subtraction (using objects, NOT fingers).  Students are doing a great job practicing, recognizing, and spelling word wall words each week!  Keep up the great work!  Miss Shannon, our student teacher from Georgetown College, started in our classroom this week!  We are lucky to have her with us until December!  We hope you will join us on September 20th from 6-7pm in our classroom for Open House.Š
