Tomorrow (Friday) is Wildcat Day at Southside. Wear UK colors and remember to bring a quarter for face painting. GO BIG BLUE!!!

Dr. Seuss’s birthday is Wednesday, March 2 and we will be celebrating all week!  Take a look at the excitement:

• Southside’s Spring Book Fair is this week!
• We will read The Cat and the Hat and answer an ORQ on Monday.
• We will read And to Think it Happened on Mulberry Street and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish on Tuesday. 
• Seusstastic Birthday Celebration-Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:30 pm [Open to all grades]
• Retired kindergarten teacher {Marsha Hisle} will be our guest reader for Read Across America on Wednesday.
• Green eggs and ham will be served on Wednesday after reading the book Green Eggs and Ham.
• We will be comparing and contrasting the book and movie Horton Hears a Who on Thursday and Friday.
